cheater, cheater, bacon eater?
i put some of my lost weight back on over the holidays. and for the past week, i have been counting my points like a good girl, waiting for the scale to shift the slightest bit.
i have a few options…
Option 1: juice fast.
in college, this would have happened. i always did a juice fast after a bit of indulgence. being a teacher, this is not going to work. also, having three kids, it’s not going to happen. juice fasting is a great way to detox and get rid of some water weight, but it zaps your energy at first.
Option 2: keep counting points
i need a fast fix to get me back to being satisfied with my points. fast, being the key word.
Option 3: low carb
little energy slump at first, but i feel like a few days of protein shakes and meat and veggies can do me good.
the winner is the low carb. i’ll let you know if it gets me back down.
i’m off to watch the globes.

I hear ya about re-losing weight. I get so excited when I lose 4-5 pounds and then I slip up a little and the weight comes right back and I start all over again. I have been losing/gaining the same 5 pounds for about 4 months.
I watched an interview with Cindy Crawford and she made a lot of sense. She said not to diet because you’re either always on or off of one. And what that means is—you’re either depriving yourself or eating like crazy because “you’re not on a diet”. She said she tries to eat 80% good, 80% of the time. I think that’s what I’m going to go by. Of course, exercise is the key. I have been running 4 nights a week and doing squats and crunches at home for toning. Let’s see if I will start to lose some real weight, not just keep re-losing the same 5 pounds.

i agree with you, cari. i feel like i hit those lulls where i relose. some of it is this time of year, after the holidays, getting back into a routine. you know, just in time for valentines parties!
